ABOUT ME

Personal description

I'm not sure what should I write here. I consider myself a practical person, but I think that small things make us happy. The most important thing is that I want to meet people who know and understand different cultures and points of view. I really believe that we can reach a point of understanding through the differences amongst us. The freedom that we can get because our capacity to think or act differently and share our thoughts and traditions as freely as possible can take us to new levels of knowledge.
I don't like to discuss or have arguments with anybody but I have really strong principles and values and I usually defend them passionately, even though I'm a very respectful person and I also try to be flexible and understanding when I see logic in others people points of view. I think I am a creative, kind, trustworthy and sharing type of girl who is usually in a happy mood that can change between a quiet, silent and relaxed happiness to "Super excited and funny boxer dog mood" hahahaha and I always try to see the bright side of life because every day is an unique gift.

But, and there's always a but... there are some important things to say about me and my own expectations about the CouchSurfing project and these are: Even if I consider that the CouchSurfing experience is very enriching and great, I do have my own ideas and expectations about the couch surfers that come to my place which are the following:

1) I really like to share but I think that cooperation is very important because a Couch Surfer who Host people is a person who gives time and resources to make others experiences as comfortable as possible and I really believe that sharing time and experiences contribute to make those experiences more enjoyable which is the key for good couch surfing exchange. What I mean is that I can negotiate some things because not everyone sees things from the same point of view as I do and cultural differences can be very strong but I don't compromise myself to being used.

What doe's it means?

2) I want to share time and space and I don't like to be treated like a Hotel Manager or feel that my place is being perceived as a hostel where is not necessarily to cooperate or have any interaction with people who lives here.

3) I think that Hospitality works as a two ways path. I'm saying this because these things happen and it actually happened to me, that's why I'm trying to be as clear as possible with potential Couch Surfers and I really believe that RESPECT is a very nice value to practice with everyone and everywhere but it is more important to be aware of this if somebody will try to get a Couch somewhere. When people opens their home's doors they are also giving us the responsibility to behave ourselves and it's a duty to try to honour that huge level of Confidence.

4) Another delicate issue to explain here is that I can't accept people who come expecting to make sexual tourism in my place, with me or my friends. Everything can happen when people meet other people but I don't like to be treated as "eatable meat" and it happens sometimes (and sometimes it happens to me) even so, there are rules in this CouchSurfing project, I guess some people doesn't read the Terms of Use section causing several misconceptions and uncomfortable situations that I'm not able to stand, so, if you are coming to my place, please, READ THAT SECTION!!!! And thanks in advance.

PHILOSOPHY

-I think life is not a destination, is more like the road on a trip.
-Do not deny to others what you demand for yourself.
-Love is dangerous, even so I really believe that we have to take risks in life to make it meaningful... some of them I rather to take smoothly and slowly.
-Everyone has something to teach us and I mean EVERYONE.
-Tolerance and understanding is the base to find balance, but tolerance can be possible if we, as individuals that participate in a social group, manage a common code of conduct.
-Honesty with your own self is the better way to be safe and offer safety to others.
-Always looses who gets mad, everything on earth can be talk about and discussed with an open minded mood, confidence and calm.
-Say your word soft and sweetly just in case you have to swallow it... But don’t hide behind responsibilities to defend your opinion and values fairly.
-Finally, always take your time to get involved with people, hurry usually brings tiredness.

Through this community I try to make other couch surfers experience as pleasant and enriching as possible because I really believe that this amazing country where I live is beautiful and there are plenty nice people if you know how to assimilate the "everyday".

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, until now I can say that Couch Surfer experiences are limited to Couch Surfers who come to visit Caracas. I’ve found very nice people here, as a matter of fact four of those Couch Surfers were living in my place and it was such a great experience because in some aspects we couldn't be more different to each other and that shows that differences can reach and enrich people.

Some other CouchSurfers start just like that, like couchsurfers who I used to met sometimes but it turns in closer friendships and sisterhoods, some of those couchsurfers were my Bridemaids and actually are beloved friends, like my own sisters and some others just changed my life and completed my visions about what I wanted so, even if CouchSurfing is not a dating site sometimes you can´t stop the tides and you just fall inloved with a person who actually is an amazing human being and a great CouchSurfer too.

Interests

I like Literature and cooking, the outdoor sports are my favourites, I used to practice Tae Kwon Do but I got hurt so I stopped. I love football madly! The beach is a perfect place to me. I like hang out with friends and travel. By now I want to learn wave surfing. Music is very important to me, I can’t do anything without it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know exactly because even if I am a very serious person somehow, I mean, like being a very pragmatic and analytic person, everything in the world has the capacity to amaze me. But thinking about it twice, the most amazing thing I had ever seen was when my dogs were fighting (they were 2 male dogs and it used to happen sometimes but I am totally against dog’s fight) Well, they were fighting and I tried to stop them, then I fell and start to bleed because I cut my chin and they immediately stopped and start to howl and lick their faces and mine too like an act of reconciliation. I don't know why this fact impressed me that much but I believe it was a matter of primitive understanding. Life has a big value and I find amazing that an animal can understand this better than humans.

Learn: Surfing, Bike Riding (yes, I know that's unbelievable but is true, I don't know how to ride a Bike before I get hurted in a Tae Kwon Do Tournament) Bass Guitar playing.
