About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the best out of circumstances, be open minded

ABOUT ME

Left Holland when I was 29. The idea was to move to New York, but plans changed at the last minute and I moved to the Canarian Islands. After half a year I ended up on the mainland of Spain where I've been living since, and also met my German husband. My marriage ended about 5 years ago. I live with my 8 year old son.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life guided by emotions. Not sure whether that's the right way to do it though.. would like to get some stability.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My son Timo and I live in a 2 bedroom place in Casares Costa, on a golf course close to the sea, and have 1 room with 2 single beds left for travellers that would like to visit the South of Spain.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Two years ago I happened to rent a big house with 2 rooms "left". That was the time I joined Couchsurfing and immediately had 3 girls from Estona visiting me. A good experience that was. Unfortunately I had to move to a smaller place not long after, as the 2 guys renting the 3rd room were not paying any rent.

Interests

Interested in many things, would like to see other countries, meet other people. Feel I've seen too little of "the world" in the 46 years I've been on it already. Cultural events, musea, parks, music festivals, going out (restaurants, dancing..)

Music, Movies, and Books

Listen to all sorts of music and love reading books, again, all sorts of :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Yet to come..?

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm... difficult. Guess that comes spontaneously when you meet others? You all learn from eachother, but I wouldn't know right now how how to specify this!
