About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploration, Collaboration, Manifestation! following the energies within and around me to guide me wherever i end up!

ABOUT ME

I get excited alot about things that I am passionate about. I've lived in Portland Oregon for 4 of the last 5 years, but spent most of my life on the east coast (specifically in New England). I've been traveling since i was in the womb and have been doing alot of it lately!

When I'm not traveling, i love the nurturing vibe of Portland and the plethora of opportunities that are available for community, personal growth, and connection right there. Two years ago, I quit my day job (career) so I could take a dance journey through africa, and after 9 months in Africa I felt called to be back in Portland to reground my intentions. I feel like if you are doing what you are passionate about, things will come to you and guide your way, so here I am, with my tribe of warriors all living our dreams.

i <3 portland. I love working on projects with people as a group to accomplish a task; burning man has changed the way I live my life and interact with the world; i thrive off human connection; i believe that dance and movement are the key to a happy and healthy life. also, life is about adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm on a quest right now to live in the present and embrace every moment for what its worth, no matter how crazy, how outlandish it may seem, how uncomfortably vulnerable I may feel in it or as inspired as it makes me be. Trying to rewire my programming. Intuition is my guiding force.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love couch surfing! I have met a ton of people already through CS, all were very helpful and awesome and I cant wait to go travel again using CS. Most of my couch surfing experience has happened on the African continent. Oh and I have hosted a few people too and cant wait to host more!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had nothing but positive experiences with it. I made lots of friends so far while traveling through couch surfing and love using it as a tool to travel.

One awesome experience i've had involves meeting couch surfers in egypt, hanging out with them back in the states, and then AGAIN couch surfing and reconnecting when i went back to Egypt... friends for life and great experiences had. It was amazing.

Interests

i like people. ALOT. also, things like... fun, establishing tribal community, the portland electronic music scene, gathering skills of all kinds, dance, connecting with people, community oriented festivals, Burning Man, scavenging for edible mushrooms in the forest, traveling, cooking local organic foods into magical nourishing creations, being outside in fresh air, authenticity, recycling and reusing, local food systems, kirtan and karaoke, inspiring people, object manipulation (like fire dancing/hooping etc), battlestar galactica, energetic bodywork, standing up for what you believe in, facilitating experiences, FUN, and my own spiritual development.

Music, Movies, and Books

For books, I like to refer to Shambhala: the Sacred Path of the Warrior, or the I-Ching. Everyday Survival. I prefer dense non-fiction books even though they tend to be intense reads and take me a while.

As once said, "without music, life would be a mistake". music feeds my soul and I love so many different genres & artists I wouldnt know where to start. My favorite genres are west coast electronica ones-glitch, dubstep, minimal and downtempo; but i love live shows when they are jammy, afrobeat, livetronica or just really good musicians. I have recently developed a love for call and response singing, or Kirtan, as well...

I'm a big fan of documentaries. And mockumentaries- christopher guest style.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hike up Mt Sinai for sunrise on my birthday.

Hike up Lion's head in Cape Town to witness a full moon set on one side of the mountain and the sunrise on the other side of the mountain on my next birthday.

Been part of theme camp creation at burning man and DPW at Afrika Burn.

Become a part of many different memes and communities all over the world.

Lost fears and inhibitions about working for myself and not for 'the man'.

Teach, Learn, Share

every interaction can teach you something.

i especially love meeting people who are excited about living and those who live unconventional lifestyles!

Live by experience.
