About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to expand my world by meeting other travelers and traveling myself. I haven't been out of the country other than Canada in seven years! way to long
ABOUT ME
Fun loving, but also can be serious at times. Good conversationalist, lots of good stories. Have a great sense of humor and am always quick to laugh. I am a self-employed Clinical Herbalist and Nutrition Educator. I teach and consult part time. Also, have a small landscaping business.
I haven't been traveling or hosting much in the past few years, but am ready to get back in the swing of things with travel and meeting new people! Also, I love to dance so am always looking for places to dance in whatever town I am visiting.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can offer a place to stay, share a meal together, I like to cook for people, hopefully have time to show people around. My home is Queer (Gay) friendly.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
not any officially through a network, but I have traveled a lot in this country and abroad and always met wonderful open people who are willing to host me and give me a place to sleep. My favorite place to 'couch surf' was New Zealand where I hitch hiked pretty much the whole country and people pick you up and take you home with them, feed you and give you a place to sleep. It makes you trust in humanity.

I like all kinds of music--folk, soul, funk, jazz, piano, accordian, latin.
My favorite musician at the moment is Michael Franti and Spearhead.
Love watching films, mostly foreign, indie someone asked me the other day what my top ten favorites are so I have been thinking on it, but haven't finished it yet:
My Life as a Dog (Lasse Halstrom)
Annie Hall (Woody Allen)
I Heart Huckabees
Most of the books I read have to do with plants and natural medicine. I am a plant geek what can I say.Trying to read more novels so my brain isn't so busy all the time. My favorite novel is The Man Who Fell in Love with The Moon (Tom Spanbauer)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
snorkeled the Great Barrier Reef--one of the most incredible things I have ever seen. the bright purple and green giant clams were the best!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have extensive knowledge of medicinal plants and organically growing food and medicine. Also know a lot about wild foods.
I want to learn more about film making and take voice lessons
