About Me

Hello!

My name is Soliel and I'm from the Philippines. Right now, I'm leaving in Spain, teaching English. I love traveling and learning new languages and cultures. I speak three languages: Filipino, English and Spanish. I try to get along with each person I meet. I'm very open to learning new things. I try to absorb as much of the world as I can. :)

I look forward to meeting you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, I only have a short time in Europe and I'd like to make the most of it. However, traveling is quite pricey and having to stay in hostels each day will be expensive. So, why not do couchsurfing and get a place to stay while making new friends? It'll be hitting two birds with one stone. Aside from this, it sounds really good to stay with a local and get the ropes on what's going on with the city.

Interests

As I said, I really love to travel and learn new cultures and languages. But lately I found that I really enjoy boardgames. Aside this, I love taking care of kids and pets.

If you've gotten to this part, please put the phrase "Why is raven like a writing desk?" Somewhere in your request to be hosted. Great chance I won't accept your request if you don't because I do believe the least you can do for your host is read their profile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in a school for kids with special needs and I volunteer with kids with autism.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love teach others about my home country, the Philippines. Most people I encounter don't know much about it and it's truly a beautiful place. Yes, it does have it's problems but one shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet its people and know the country and its culture.

I would like to learn more about other cultures and languages, especially the gastronomy of each place I visit. I want to continue learning how to understand others.

I want to share love and understanding. I feel like we're often too cranky or we don't listen enough. I'd as much want to improve in this aspect as well as share it with others.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well, aside from knowing several languages, I can also be one heck of an awesome friend. But seriously though, I've been living in a dorm for several years. So, this means that I can be a really good flatmate. I'd know how to clean up after myself and get along with other people. I can also be of help in the flat and even help you cook. :)

Also, I'm always up to share a good conversation.
