About Me
Hello, fellow Couchsurfers!
I am Sol from Seoul. (Do you see what I did here?)
I was born and raised in South Korea but got my undergraduate degree in the States.
Since I graduated in May 2014, I have been constantly working as an intern/part-time to save up just enough money for the next trip.
I taught English to adults until last week and now I am about to take on my very second backpacking trip to Shanghai and Taipei.
I would be more than happy and grateful if you can be a part of it!
**Free Korean tutoring, anyone?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I went backpacking to South America for 2 months this year.
Since I was pretty tight on my schedule and stayed only for few days in each city, I did not get a chance to couchsurf or meet locals and be friends.
I was like a grasshopper moving from one hostel to the other.
And that is the only thing I regret from my trip; I wish I had more time to get to know the people and the culture in those beautiful places I've visited.
So this time, I want to try this thing out and actually be immersed in new culture and new people and not be so touristy.
If you are willing to lend me your couch, I will be nice and well-behaved.
At the end of a tiring day, I might snore but I promise I wouldn't sleepwalk or scare you away! ;)
Interests
I don't know where to start.
I am interested in pretty much everything in this world.
So I can start a light conversation on anything though I might not know so deeply about your field or your interests :)
Plus, I am a good listener and a fast learner!
