Hi there, my name's Sol. I'm a filmmaker by trade, so I'm usually just a broken down car or unexpected vet bill away from destitution. I live in Toronto, and generally when I travel it's to attend a film-related event.

I have been described as "unsettlingly quiet" by an airbnb host, so you know I won't keep you up. Unless you're the kind who wants to be kept up, in which case I'm equally happy to talk into wee hours of the morning. I'm always interested in learning about what gets other people out of bed in the morning, and I'm happy to share stories about some of my strange work history. Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are Playtime and Force Majeure, I prefer comedies to drama in general.

I love The Trial, but a recent read I really enjoyed was Antkind by Charlie Kaufman.

My music taste is eclectic, but I have a particular soft spot for folk and jazz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was the youngest person to ever win the Royal Bank of Canada Emerging Filmmaker Pitch Contest. I know that for sure, because I lied about my age in order to be eligible.
