About Me
Hey all,
My name is Salomon from the Bay Area. My profession is in education. I enjoy traveling, getting to know people. Learning about different cultures, their history, and language.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I went to a couple of couch surfing events where some friends invited me to. I didn't know about couch surfing before. After having met some real cool and interesting folks, I've decided to couch surf for the first time rather than hostel.

Teach, Learn, Share
“Listen with ears of tolerance! See through the eyes of compassion! Speak with the language of love.” - Jalaluddin Rumi
"Since in order to speak, one must first listen, learn to speak by listening." - Jalaluddin Rumi
What I Can Share with Hosts
Maya Angelou once said, "I'm just someone who likes cooking and for whom sharing food is a form of expression." I love cooking, its therapeutic and I especially enjoy when others try out my food and tell me how much they enjoyed it. I like to cook a variety of things, mainly Middle Eastern (Afghan/Persian), Mexican/Spanish, American, or Asian cuisines. As George Bernard Shaw once said, "There is no sincerer love than the love of food." So if you let me stay over, I'd definitely would love to cook something up for you. As a way of showing appreciation, and saying thank you.
I like to tour and learn about the places I'm visiting or living in. If I visit a place, I would like to learn about its history and explore its communities and learn about its people. If you are free, you are free to join me on a tour. While doing so, you can tell me about where you come from, where you grew up, and we can share each other's cultural history.
