About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm hoping to meet people of all colors, cultures, countries, languages, perspectives, opinons, interests.

ABOUT ME

I'm personable, sincere, warm, fun, humorous and smart. I'm interested in improving people's lives, especially those whose lives stand to improve the most. I hope to spend my life curing people wherever the need is greatest and my skills can be best used. Given my love for Ecuador and Latin America, I imagine myself living part of my life abroad while maintaining a residence in San Francisco, my favorite city in the US where I work in hospitals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught in an inner-city high school as part of Teach For America; published a study on sex workers in Ecuador; led a group of medical students to Quito to work in a hospital; published a letter to the editor in The New York Times on teaching. Traveled alone throughout mountains, rainforests, cities, coasts of Guatemala, Ecuador, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Colombia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've taught math, English, and science at various levels that range from middle school to college. I was a high school teacher in a public San Francisco high school for 1 year. I've traveled extensively through Latin America, parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia.
