Overview
About Me
Hello! I am travelling around Europe this summer and would love to meet cool people and have places to sleep along the way. I have travelled a lot inside the US (including a lot of hitchhiking and riding freight trains) and have always lived in houses that have travelers coming through frequently.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet local people, have good conversations, have a place to stay, and make friends who can come stay with me in the future.
Interests
I am interested in the reoccupation of abandoned villages, especially in Spain, in local projects of autonomy and sustainability, permaculture (I am certified), gardening, squatting in rural areas and in the city, social movements, botany and native plants, herbal medicine, literature, critical theory, local music (including playing music with people in different places), Jazz (i play the standup bass) food, dancing, wine, nature and wild places, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is very important to me, lately ive mostly been listening to jazz as well as learning how to play it on the bass. I am also really into hip-hop, soul, all types of folk music from around the world, anything that makes you dance.
Favorite authors include James Baldwin, Roberto Bolaño, Freddie Pearlman, Adrienne Rich, Borges, most native american literature, Kenneth Rexroth, Gary Snider, Italo Calvino.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a shack by myself in a redwood forest in California and lived in it for over a year.
