About Me

Hi there! I'm Rashed, a software developer by profession and a passionate traveler at heart. I love exploring new places, meeting interesting people, and immersing myself in different cultures. Whether it's wandering through bustling cities or getting lost in the tranquility of nature, I find joy in every adventure.

When I'm not coding or building tech solutions, I love to embark on new journeys to broaden my horizons and experience the world from a fresh perspective. I'm always excited to learn from others, share stories, and create lasting memories along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to experience a new place is through the eyes of the locals. I want to connect with people from different backgrounds, share stories, learn about their cultures, and create meaningful connections.

Traveling for me is not just about visiting tourist spots but also about understanding the soul of a place, and Couchsurfing offers a unique way to do that. I’m excited to host, be hosted, and make friends around the world. Let's exchange ideas, adventures, and maybe even a meal or two!

Music, Movies, and Books

My Favorite Movies:
I have a soft spot for movies that make you think or feel deeply. I enjoy dramas, indie films, documentaries, and anything that brings a new perspective or tells an extraordinary story. Some of my favorites include "Into the Wild" for its sense of adventure, "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" for its inspiring message, and "The Pursuit of Happyness" for its resilience and hope. I’m also a fan of classic films and love discovering hidden gems from different countries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure if this counts as amazing, but it’s definitely one of the most spontaneous things I've done! It was the time of my first real adventure. I had saved some money to pay for my university admission exam fees, which were due on July 14th. However, deep down, I knew I wasn’t interested in taking that exam. Coincidentally, there was a local tour planned for the exact same day.

In a moment of impulsive decision-making, I chose to follow my heart. Instead of paying the exam fee, I used the money to join the tour. I didn’t tell my family about it at the time, and I’m still not sure how they would have reacted. But that decision led to an unforgettable experience, full of excitement and new discoveries. It taught me the importance of listening to my own desires and seizing the moment, even when it seems risky.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I’m always happy to share my knowledge of software development, programming, and tech-related topics. If you’re interested in learning about coding or improving your skills, I’d love to help out! I can also share insights about my culture, local travel tips, and some personal experiences from my travels.

Learn: I’m eager to learn about different cultures, traditions, and ways of life from people around the world. I’d love to pick up new skills, like cooking local dishes, learning phrases in a new language, or understanding more about other fields and interests.

Share: I’m excited to share good conversations, travel stories, and laughs over a cup of coffee or a meal. I’m always up for exploring new places together, whether it’s a hidden gem in your city or a local spot that’s special to you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my experiences and stories from my travels, as well as insights into my culture and background. If you’re interested in technology or programming, I’d be happy to offer tips, tricks, or help with any tech-related questions. I can also share knowledge about freelancing, skill development, and remote work opportunities.

I’m a good listener and enjoy engaging in meaningful conversations about life, travel, and everything in between. Additionally, I’m happy to help out around the house, cook a meal, or teach you something new that I know. Plus, I’d love to explore the local area together, whether it’s discovering hidden gems or just enjoying a walk around town.
