About Me
Hi there, I'm Sol... :)
I'm both an extrovert and an introvert... I love meeting new people and getting to know different places and cultures; it gives me energy and joy, and it's important to me when traveling to try and view the place I'm in through the eyes of the local people. I'm also comfortable in my own company...I enjoy down-time and chilling out, without the pressures of feeling like I always need to be 'doing doing doing'.
I love being in nature, going on walks, being silly with friends, being out in the garden or the national parks, sampling the beers and coffees of the area, meeting new people and trying new and different foods.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well, it's a wonderfully enriching experience... opening myself up to meeting new people and to get a real feel for a place and it's culture.
It's also a joy to host travellers. I think it's a real privilege to have been able to open my home to and offer travelers with a place to rest, to share stories and to help them get to know the place I live.
Music, Movies, and Books
Aaaaah, well there's so much to say about these topics! If you're into your music especially, I'm super keen to hear what you're listening to and I'll play you what I'm currently obsessed with.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cycling around Venzuela, Colombia and Ecuador for 18 months and having so many people open their doors and instantly make me a part of their family. It was special.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I teach meditation and I'd to be happy to talk to you about it, share my experiences and maybe even guide you in a practice or two if you would like!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully...good vibes! For me, a lot of it is about the shared energy between people in person...so if we meet, we'll find those places where we connect and can share.
Also, I'm pretty easy going really! I like inviting people along to the things I'm doing and joining others for their adventures too. I'm also super comfortable doing my own thing so there's no need to feel like you have to babysit me :)
