ABOUT ME

Solana: I was born in the US but I've lived in Argentina most of my life. I have worked in television and radio as a producer. I've been in MTV in Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and for some meetings in the Miami office too. I've lived in Barcelona where I went to University and studied film. In Argentina I studied teaching and slowly moved away from TV and started my own language school (still very small but with a big heart!!!). I have a deaf dalmatian who has a blue eye and a brown eye, and a cat who thinks she's a dog and follows you all over the house.

Adrian: I am a very easy going, laid back guy. I enjoy meeting new people, hearing their stories and learning their History. I play the bagpipe (the Spanish one, not the Scottish one, I know lots of people can't notice the difference, but there is a big one!) and I love all kinds of music. And by all I mean ALL!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have had many people over, sleeping on my couch, normally friends of friends who come to Buenos Aires and need to crash for a few days. We have also done so in other places, and met great people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Excellent!!! We both enjoy very much offering outings, classes and barbecues for CouchSurfers back when we are in BA and we also like meeting people when we travel. Almost all the contact we had with people from CS were awesome. We hope to be here for long!

Interessen

Culture, customs, film and languages are Solana's passion. She loves animals, most of them anyway. We both love travelling, walking, meeting people, understanding different cultures.
Adrian loves music, all kinds, and sports, also all of them. He sometimes knows about sports Solana hasn't even heard of!!

Oh, EVERYTHING!!!
Solana likes Cortazar, Ali Smith, Julian Barnes...Borges although sometimes it's hard to understanding him.
Film? Solana loves everything and watches everything. Adrian never goes to the movies, but he listens (and plays) all kinds of music all the time.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Solana has walked on ice on the glaciar.
And we both have met some "stars" in MTV shows and realized they were shorter than we thought, or nicer, even more (or less in some cases) human... that was awesome!!

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Solana teaches languages, so take advantage and ask whatever you want!! She loves curiosities of languages, such as what's the only word in Spanish that has the diptongue "ou" and what are the very few (5/6) words in English that start with an h which is not pronounced....
