ABOUT ME

Sun + Life = a meaning of my name from latin language.

First I joined Couch Surfing 14 years ago and I have hosted quite many guests in my parents home in Latvia, Liepāja that is known for the beautiful seaside. So far it has been a great experience and I have met many amazing people. The concept of meeting locals when travelling is very close to my heart. For the past 11 years I live in Denmark and have moved within the country quite many times but still found opportunities to meet some travellers trough CS. Originally I moved here for my studies - both Bachelor and later also Masters but later job opportunities came, I met my boyfriend and eventually we settled here. I am working as a Designer and live in our house in Vejle, we have a cat named Pufi.

PHILOSOPHY:

Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny, everyone has something to fulfill, some message to deliver, some work to complete. You are not here accidentally - you are here meaningfully. There is a purpose within you. The whole universe intends to do something through you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I`m very true member since the first day - I created my Couch Surfing account on 24th of December, while having a Christmas eve dinner with my family!

At the moment I reactivated my account after a couples of years break from CS and to host someone I would need to onboard my boyfriend to this concept. Also, I would only accept requests that fit my shedule so we can spend some time together. You are welcome to reach out but I can’t guarantee that I will be able to accept your request.

I`m interested in craftmanship, arts & design. When I travel, I try to visit places which inspire me, there are so many amazing things people have created which are worth to see!

Also I really enjoy beauty of nature - landscapes, hills, woods, seas and oceans. Warm summer evenings outdoors! I love to visit new places, go to country side, drive by bicycle, hike and spend my time with creative people who love what they do.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

At 20 years old I hich-hiked with my friend to Greece (2500km) in 3,5 days. Without sleep, without stops and same way back to Latvia. Now thinking about that experience - it was an absolute youth maximalism, so many things could have gone wrong but to be honest - I sometimes miss that adventurous spirit in myself that is full of love & trust to the world and people.
