ABOUT ME

Umm. I think they would say I'm honest (maybe too honest sometimes), I asked a friend once and she said I was quite sweet really although I'm not sure this is something that can be noticed on first appearances. Last night my drunk friend told me that I'm funny, funnier than a stand up comedian! And he also referred to me as 'ace' so it must be true. I guess I'm fairly easy going and happy to go with the flow, see new things and meet new people..

PHILOSOPHY

I just try to do what I feel is right. I think that if I live my whole life knowing that I've always tried to do the right thing then I should die fulfilled and happy and accepting of whatever lays in store for me once my body has gone.

At the moment I'm really focusing on keeping calm and positive and not letting others have to much of an impact on the way I feel about myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just beginning my couch surfing journey. Have met a few people who have been involved for some time and have found them to be lovely, genuine and positive people and I'm very excited to meet many more of you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I come from a rock and folk background and tend to lean towards music from these genres. However, lately I'm trying to branch out and find new things to enjoy. Have started to listen to more Reggae and Ska and am very much open to suggestions from others.. particularly music that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy or EXCITED!!
At the moment I've selected a little array of books which I am interested in reading. Some on philosophy, some history and some of the classics.. as well as one book from a brand new author. Looking forward to the return of my bookworm head. Generally I've tended to stick to fiction (any kind although not so much sci fi) but have read a few autobiographies. I am interested in reading more factual books or anything that will make me stop and think.
Films: I enjoy good comedy although I cannot describe what makes one film funny over another. Again anything that makes me stop and think. My absolute favourite film of all time are Withnail and I and Confetti. Although I'm sure there are others too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Definitely the stars on Fraser Island (Australia). In London I don't get to see stars all too much and when the whole sky is lit with them I feel so tiny and insignificant in comparison. It's very grounding I think.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak English and can help others to improve I suppose.
Can also be a tour guide in London and Brighton and try to suggest ideas for fun things to do.
I know the London trains pretty well and can definitely help with planning journeys to and from London as well as getting around once there.
