Overview
About Me
I'm out to experience as many and varied things, places and people as I can while hopefully leaving a positive mark where ever I am able. I have a degree in Art History and high hopes to put it to some kind of use in the field of archaeology. I am fascinated by everywhere and its unique culture and the history that got it there.
Everything is connected. We are all in this together, we must learn to live in harmony with our planet and each other or we will continue to destroy it and thus ourselves.
(From each according to his ability, to each according to his need)
additionally: if we do not destroy ourselves, we will one day venture to the stars
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe strongly in helping my fellow human and making human connections with people in all situations, and I have found that couchsurfing agrees with both of those notions. I host when I'm able, but my living situation hasn't allowed it for several years now. Hoping to get back to that and do some surfing one day!
Everyone I've met through couchsurfing has been someone I sincerely enjoyed and connected with. There must be a common thread through all of us that have the desire and will to travel and experience the world in such a way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have held many pieces of daily life (pottery, shell pendants...) from around 3 thousand years ago, and only begun to study and understand them. It is awe-inspiring to know that these things were created by people so long ago and have endured time to give us a glimpse in to the past.
Teach, Learn, Share
Aforementioned degree in art history includes study specifically on the Maya, and some basic background on many other central and south american indigenous tribes, ancient Roman art and life, Andy Warhol and the pop culture movement. I held an internship at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston in the Ancient Egyptian and Nubian collection. I am also an art photographer, both making my own photographic art and documenting collections of art for archival purposes. I spent a while learning ukulele, and now I'm taking banjoy lessons.
