Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to see and experience as much of this amazing world as I can before I get too old and decrepit
ABOUT ME
I am a 62 year old female, retired from running my very busy 7 day a week business, love to laugh usually with a red wine or two and enjoy life. I have travelled extensively over the last 7 years having contracted the travel bug on my first solo overseas trip in 2007 where I met my son and his girlfriend in Paris for a week and then continued on my own to London and then through 11 European countries. Have now visited Europe, Sth America, Malaysia, Cambodia, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Greece, Turkey, Croatia, Spain, Thailand, Vietnam and most recently an African camping trip through 13 countries - an amazing adventure. Celebrated my 53rd birthday with dinner in the Eiffel Tower restaurant Altitude 95. I did a 4 week volunteer program in Cusco, Peru working in a shelter for abused girls teaching them to cook, which was extremely rewarding and life-changing, a great way to immerse myself in the local culture and to give something back and help the less fortunate - a much better experience than just being a tourist.
PHILOSOPHY
live life to the full and be happy. Without laughter and music the world would be so sad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I did an interview with local newspaper to promote awareness of CS in my State. I love meeting people from other countries to share travel and life experiences. I would love to have the opportunity to show people the wonderful place I live. I tell everyone about cs and am surprised so many people don't know about us it is the best.

Music, Movies, and Books
enjoy all types of music. Movies, anything is enjoyable if shared with friends. Books, travel tomes especially as there is always somewhere new to learn about.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a skydive for my 50th birthday, it was so amazing and not even scary as some people think. Travelled to Europe solo first time out of Australia. Snorkelling Tioman Island, Malaysia so amazingly beautiful, microlight flight over Victoria Falls, Gorilla trek in Rwanda. I have finally fulfilled a life-long dream of visiting Machu Picchu which was everything I thought it would be and more a definite must see. I hope I will do many more amazing things before I get too old and decrepit, I am trying my best.
Teach, Learn, Share
would love to teach the world about Tasmania, how beautiful and unique it is. Whilst on tour I discovered a lot of people don't know very much if anything about or even where Tasmania is so I need to remedy that, I just have to get them to come here somehow
What I Can Share with Hosts
clean & tidy bedroom with double bed, fun & happy time sharing my travel stories & love & of Tasmania & knowledge of local area
