About Me
I'm a dreamer and a critic. I have lived my life mostly in the traditional box, where some lovely people exist (who I hold dearly to my heart), but my soul seeks rebellious ideas, conversations that drive deep through to the morning, and new experiences.
I want to consume the world. One of my first tragic realizations as a child was that books were being created faster than I could read them. That idea has rolled into many areas, including travel...there are so many places, experiences, and people, and I want it all. I know this is impossible, but right now it is my driving force.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find that the thing that truly makes me fall in love with a place is the people. At this point, I've seen some amazing sights, but the cities and countries that call to me are the ones where I've had the opportunity to connect on a deeper level with the people who live there.
I am mostly here to meet people for hanging out and events. I love the idea of couch surfing, and I know many people who've had great experiences, but I personally have not tried it out. Right now I work remotely while I travel, so couchsurfing isn't the best fit for my day to day lifestyle. But I am really looking forward to meeting some amazing people through this site :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Just a few
Movies: Waking Life, The Fountain, Life as a House, Abre los Ojos
Music : I let Spotify take me on journeys depending on my mood. Sometimes it's about the lyrics and others it's about the beat.
Books: Quiet, The One and Only Ivan (it's a children's book, but it's brilliant), Shadow of the Wind, Hyperbole and a Half. I'm currently finishing up On the Road.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a week in the jungles of Peru with a shaman. It changed my entire perspective on the world and is the reason I quit my job and "traditional" lifestyle. Ask me about it if you're curious ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
My former career was as a teacher - so if you happen to have kids, I'd love to talk books, writing, math, curiosity, etc...! I don't have official training such as TESOL, but due to my background, I can teach English to adult speakers. I really want to learn Spanish!
I enjoy cooking, and love the opportunity to do so for others. Also, I'm really good at finding cheap travel deals :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm not looking for housing, but I'm happy to share a meal, drinks, stories, etc..
