About Me

CURRENT MISSION

The Time Is Right Now

ABOUT ME

It seems redundant to keep talking about myself, maybe not. I am really just enjoying now. I am always doing and dreaming. Life is short, I know it's such a over used saying. But really think about it, it true. I don't live in "gray" very well(unless it's mine;). I love real open communication with others. I find that a lot of people aren't use to hearing true words. I am not rude or curt, I am just real. I have many friends all over from all different walks of life. I befriend people very easily, and truly enjoy engaging and learning from today adventure. I tend to not think about tomorrow much because it only detracts from today. So, I was a Pharma/Medical Rep for some years, then a Dental Rep for a handful of years there. I have many different careers, always approach by companies that wanted my fun, "cup more than half full" personality to be part of their team. Well, I just got so burned out from everything that was going on, I checked out! Sold everything that I still had, that I didn't lose in a divorce, and went... Couldn't work for the man or the weekends any longer. I have been told "Thomas, not everyone can be as foot loose and fancy free as you". Oh but you can I say, If you want what you have, not have what you want, you'd be surprised of the clarity that one can receive. Our ever going society of "keep up with the Jones", hurts me in so many ways... I don't understand why we are so quick to send money to Africa, Japan(3rd largest economy),or anywhere else for that matter when we have such a epidemic here with our own hungry and homeless citizens. I know it's not as "sexy" to help that homeless person that one might see driving home everyday, as going over to Somalia and heaving oneself into a disease riddled hut for that ever so great "photo opportunity". It is great to help out any one anywhere, and don't get me wrong, Sally Struthers is wonderful;) but I think if we all, as a whole would not continue to look the other way and do more here, some really great things would happen! Ok, I am on my soap-box. How come programs that are very important to help shape a young mind(art, drama, sports etc)are continuing to be cut from our schools? Yet, were putting a 20 million dollar roof on the Elementary School that is 12 years old... "It was budgeted, and if we don't spend it, we lose it". WTF? My folks live in a 14 year subdivision, their neighbors have shrubs shaped like mushrooms and boxes!?!?!? That's a whole different tangent, anyway, their subdivision has been re-paved 4 or 5 times in it's short life, yet on the West side of town, where actually the people who grew up in the town, still live there, they don't even have sidewalks??? So you drive through town and see county landscaping crews making sure that the Marigolds and Tulips in all the round-abouts are pretty, when the salt of the town continues to get nothing. Constant gentrification, bringing in a new subdivision with shrubs shaped like poodles or hearts... I can't do it. So I trek, hanging with people of like minds, enjoy today. I am not really sure if that came out like it was suppose to, just threw it up, but I feel better.
Cheers~

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed many a couch, just not on here yet.

Interests

Music festivals, photography, sock puppets, a good cup of Joe, hiking, share a conversation over an IPA with friends, not knowing who I might meet or what I might learn today, knee slapping laughter, being present, quietly sitting along a river at dawn and being greeted by all of her splendor as the world awakes for a new day.
