Hello! I'm Somin, 25 years old, and I'm based in South Korea.
I majored in horticulture at university, but now I'm working as a freelance actor.
I think I'm a person like the sky. Sometimes I'm calm, sometimes I'm active. It's ever-changing, but it's always full of energy and life. I think that's like me. :)
And there are so many things I like and passionate about!
I like to touch and take care of plants, I like hiking, I like walking, I love(!) running, I like cooking, I like swimming, I like smiling and laughing, I like singing, I like hugging, I like writing, and I do love to look at the sky and be in awe of the vastness of nature.
And most of all, as an actor and artist, I am passionate about learning new things and meeting new people! They always make my heart so pound. I'm willing to learn everything, and I'm ready to meet and communicate with many different, and various people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a written above, I am passionate about learning new things and culture, and I love travelling. So combining both seems like a good idea! I haven't got a chance go to abroad before 2023, but now I got a chance, and I always wanted to do Couchsurfing, so here I am!

Since I experienced my first CS in 2023, I just fall in love with this beautiful community. I met so many beautiful people and And I experienced amazing things that I wouldn't have done if I hadn't met them.

There are so many amazing people in this world, and I'd really love to meet them, share our lives, share our stories. After all, we're all stories at th3 end. Right? (Yep, I quote 'Doctor Who' and if you noticed it then hello Whobian buddy! 🌌)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like Oasis, NGHFB, Of Monsters And Men, etc, but My music taste is various! From Britpop to movie OST(ex. Hans Zimmer, Joe Hisaishi).

Movie: I can say I'm a cinephile. (lol) My movie taste is various too. I love all kinds of movie! (except unnecessary pornographic violence thing like gore, slasher) I love good film regardless country or age. Nolan's(Interstellar, TDKT, Inception, TENET, etc.), Dreamworks, Ghibli, Disney, Pixar, Cloud Atlas, Aftersun, Cinema Paradiso, After Yang, etc. As an actor, I do believe good film can change the world.

Books: The Song of Achilles, Circe. I like Madeline Miller's novel! And also A Medicine for Melancholy by Ray Bradbury, Harry Potter indeed. When I was young, people called me a bookworm. Now I can't read as many books as I did when I was young, but I still love books!

I'm a holder of the Taekwondo 4th Dan grade, and also have a certificate of 3rd Class Taekwondo Master, so If you're interested in Taekwondo, I can show you some technique and also teach you. :)
Also I'm native Korean, so if you want to learn Korean, I'd gladly want to help you to learn my mother language! And I can share my vegan/Korean food recipe to you and I can cook for you too! (If we could get some Korean sauces)
As an actor, I can share to you some acting skills I've learned. :)
