CURRENT MISSION
Second Law of Thermodynamics. A way around it?
ABOUT ME
From Melbourne, Australia.
I've been involved with couchsurfing, both through this site and through happenstance, for several years now. Where would humanity be right now, without couches?
At this moment, I limit myself to saying:
I'm a bright-eyed one, dabbling in the occult, a class-conscious proletarian-by-day, bourgeois-by-evening, lumpen-by-night kind of person, who is gradually expanding horizons from an epicurean past to become far more at ease in both the natural and the social worlds, with an eye to utopian dreaming.
I really liked looking at trains when I was younger, I've heard that is something of a commonplace neurosis. That old flame has tempered significantly. Now I really quite like trees and walking through the woods. Not sure if there is a neurosis for that, but it is called being a nemophilist.
I've travelled in various ways around parts of the world, and always reached the same destination: home.
Things that I am thoroughly interested in and would enjoy having many a yarn over:
- the weather
- farming
- compass points
- idle pleasantries
- the transition from feudalism to capitalism
- mountains
- ecology
- temperate rainforests
- vampires in temperate rainforests
- favourite moss species
- science fiction
- politics
- smashing the state
- putting the state back together but better
- cats-as-metasymbolism theory
- cats-as-alien invasion theory
- hiking
- gardening
- permaculture
- how to construct a house
- linear end of time
- good food.
- just bragging about odd stuff
- historical materialism
- juggling
Feel free to drop me a line and sort out a place to crash if I am in town and if you're the type who likes to share stories, adventures, opinions, there's plenty of it at my place and in my head.
