About Me

HI,I am an Architect by profession, but trying to figure out my true calling in life! I am a friendly, fairly easy going person. I love meeting new people at the same time, I cherish old friendships. I am trying to discover myself as a traveler and find the idea of couch-surfing very interesting; like being part of a parallel world of travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

Love life, live it to the fullest. Regret nothing, be open to various experiences. Trust the good in others. Be true to who you are, pretend nothing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

.. love the concept, yet to experience it myself.. but I was a host recently, and loved the experience. I have met travelers and have received travel advice on various forums which has been great!

Interests

there are multiple things that interest me and i am a bit of " jack of all trades" if you will. Love to read, cook, travel, photograph, make some music and experience new things. Most of my free time is spent in pursuing one of the above. The city i stay in currently has a lot to offer and I love exploring such events, meeting new people with similar interests as me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Music, mostly everything.. learning Indian Classical Music which has a lot to offer. Trying to train my ear to listening to Western classical as well. Love Bollywood music. Almost everything except Heavy metal goes :) Books : Read a lot of fiction, but trying to read more of travel/architecture and biographical writings. Big time movie buff. Try to watch world cinema as well, mostly through film festivals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was driving on my own in my car from Bangalore to Pondicherry last year. its a good 450+kms drive and look me about 7 hours to reach. Having accomplished that drive was a big moment for me as it was one of my first drives by myself. a couple of weeks later I did another long drive from Bangalore to Pune. a year and a half later i have vivid memories of that drive. it gave me a sense of accomplishment, confidence to travel by myself, and the opportunity to enjoy my own company!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Hindi and Marathi in languages, some basic tips in everyday Indian cooking, can share my knowledge of India and travelling here, If time permits and someone is interested, can guide a heritage walk through the historical city of Pune and would definitely make sure you are introduced to the fantastic food culture of this city!

The Spare room for sleeping arrangements, the kitchen/living areas and separate toilet facilities for guests.
