Just graduated from college and now I'm off working in Washington as a journalist--I write about cities, which is great, because writing and cities are my two great passions. It's one of the reasons I like to travel so much.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed in France, Germany, Austria, Denmark and Algeria and each has been more fun than the last. Many CS and other travels stories to share. Haven't hosted, mostly because I have been in New Haven and no one ever wants to come.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the sun rise behind Kilimanjaro, couchsurfed in the Sahara desert, hiked the Inca trail, rafted through the Grand Canyon, ran with the bulls in Pamplona, picked up a thousand cans to attend a music festival in Denmark, sailed up the Nile, dug up an Umayyad palace in Syria.
