Hi,

As a frequent traveller I'm really impressed with this site and the many good folk who are offering accommodation, so thought I'd best join in. I live in France, work in Switzerland and am English - all of which I'm grateful for, and, being a teacher I do indeed get nice long holidays where travel is possible.

I'm someone who needs the outdoors to feel grounded and happy. That may involve doing some gardening, walking in the forest, mountain biking down single track or just sitting looking at pretty views. It's all good stuff.

People are interesting the world over and I see this site as a way of touching base with some fascinating people and maybe finding out about local places from, guess what, local people. That way you get the best top tips which no Lonely Planet can ever provide.
