About Me

[PLEASE READ FIRST - yes, I do live in LA at the moment!😄] Polish girl living and working in LA now, would love to meet some locals and backpackers, I am always down for any nature activity.

I am not living in Chicago, Split, Poznan, Zagreb and Hawaii as I used to guys, but you're very welcome to ask questions about what to see in the cities and countries I used to live in, I will try my best to help!🤓😄

Hi everyone! I’m Sonia, twenty four yo girl from Poznan, Poland. I studied Slavonic Studies (Balkan culture and literature), I spend a lot of time studying&travelling around there (I lived in Split and Zagreb). I also lived in the USA as an au pair in Chicago. I studied violin before and that has been my passion for 17 years now. I am a really passionate hitchhiker, during a lot of years of travelling around the world I met a lot of big-hearted people. Now I would love to repay and host or help as many travelers as I can. I'm flexible and pretty handy when it comes to outdoor activities - need a fire started? Tent to set up? I got it covered. Sleeping in the bushes? Down for it! I can adapt to any situation, I love walking and chatting about life, appreciating the simple things in this world. I'm always down for some good vibes and exploring new horizons.🧚🏼‍♀️

I am soft spoken and easy to get along with-low maintenance and love to cook and eat with others! I am very clean and respectful of other's space. I love to cook and bake, I am vegetarian with aspirations to veganism so I can cook something special for you!💚 lgbtq friendly🌈

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a classical violinist so I love Mahler, Mozart, Sibelius, Wieniawski, Ysaye, Massenet. But I am also the rocky and metal soul! David Bowie, Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Megadeth, Parkway Drive. I also like those folk Slavic bands like R.U.T.A., Dubioza Kolektiv, Prljavo Kazalište, Znich, Mo_A. The biggest fan of Polish Woodstock (Poland'Rock) Festival!❤️‍🔥

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Alaska during winter! I also did 200km thru-hike the "Dry Stone Route" GR221 in Mallorca with my tent and the camping stuff on my back. That was such a blast!🤩 I also hitchhiked to one of the highest villages in Europe, in Caucasus close to Russian border with Dagestan - Xinaliq, Azerbaijan. In 2023 I went to Vietnam, bought a motorbike in the north and drive all the way down to Saigon. I also worked as a teacher at a girl's shelter in the Usambara mountains in Tanzania. That was my greatest adventure so far!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Polish, Croatian or English basics (I'm part time English teacher), I would also love to share the living abroad experience (I lived in the USA and Croatia). Violin is also big part of my life, I play for 17 years now so I can show you some tricks about performing on stage.
