About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Planning a trip of a lifetime to Sri Lanka, India, Nepal and beyond

ABOUT ME

Currently taking a well deserved career break from my job and planning on travels of my own in the near future. Am generally a busy person, always with something on the go, always thinking and planning although have had a little more time to relax since starting my break from work. I am friendly and open, obviously enjoy meeting others, constantly learning about the world and people. Want to make a difference in whatever way I can.

PHILOSOPHY

hmmm tricky question, still working it out, I think it's about learning, curiosity, acknowledging what I don't know, looking after myself and others

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Music, Movies, and Books

I like films about real people and historical periods, events, I also like films with singing and dancing and some comedies
books - lots about psychology, mental wellbeing, trawling through lots of mindfulness books at the moment, a few of my faves - skallagrigg by William Horwood and how green was my valley by Richard llewellyn
music - many and varied, just been to see patti smith amazing! then the smiths, morrissey, pixies, smashing pumpkins to dizzie rascal, d&b, electronic and everything in between

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Places - the icefields parkway in a campervan, a bit closer to home - the pembrokeshire coast and the 'blue lagoon' (not just the festival!)
people - sometimes the kindness of strangers is awesome, my car broke down in London - 3 people stopped and within 20 minutes was on my way
personally - qulalifying in my chosen field - all the services i've worked for and the people I've met
recently - my decision to take time out - best decision ever!

Teach, Learn, Share

share - anything psychology related that may be of interest!
learn - mindfulness, yoga, anything relating to tinnitus, practical skills around the hosue, vegan cooking!
