About Me
Hi there,
I'm one more frenchy living in Canada. Not in Montreal or a big city, but in Yellowknife.
I decided to move to Canada to improve my English, to learn new things and to meet new people. What I did! So now I just want to keep doing it.
My friends say that I'm crazy which is quite true. I don't drink alcohol and they are all the time saying like "what would it be if you drank" or "what was in your cranberry juice" lol.
Except that, I think I'm a nice person and I know how to be grateful.
My philosophy : Don't do unto others what you don't want others to do unto you.
A proverb I like : Be the change that you wish to see in the world (Gandhi)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people from all around the world, maybe futur friends, and to share goof tips.
It's sometimes hard to meet new people, especially in the city I live in, don't ask me why, so I try to use CS to do so. When I'm the one travelling, as I've started to travel alone (which btw is pretty amazing), I think CS is the best way to have a good time with locals.
Interests
Watching a series, walking, parks, bridges, gym, listening to latino music and traveling.
And board games!! I almost forgot that omg.
Music, Movies, and Books
I love thrillers, even though I can be easily scared. If we watch one, don't be surprised if I put my hands in front of my eyes and don't freak out if I jump out of the couch^^
Latino music (reggeaton & bachata) is my favorite. I listen to "Radio latina" all the time.
I don't really read, I should I know.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving France in June 2015 to live one year in Canada. I wanted to have a one year experience in a foreign country since a while but I was so scared. I finally did it! For one year, I did a French government program, a "citizen service", kind of a voluntering.
Update September 2016!
My dreamed one year experience is turning into a longer stay... I got a 2 year travel holiday visa and a new (real) job as a communication officer!
A little more adventure and excitement before going back home...
Update 2020: I moved to Yellowknife in 2017 and became a permanent resident of Canada in 2018. Then got a job for the government, my own place and a car. Going back to France is not on the program anytime soon...
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some French🇫🇷
And I want to learn about your culture and country. Especially recipes as I'm not really a cook :/
And we can teach each other new board games :)
