About Me

I don't really fit into the typical outgoing, adventurous backpacker type. But I am still more than happy to share whatever I can. Whatever you would like to know about my culture and my travel experience, you ask and I will tell.

An extroverting introvert. I am mostly into things I can do on my own. Love books, films, podcasts and performing arts. I enjoy backpacking too (obviously...).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a lot of fun to meet locals when I travel so I want to extend some help to people visiting my city. A superb way to make new friends and learn about other parts of the world.

Interests

1) BOOKS!!! - I enjoy reading a lot
2) Films - World cinema (and I loathe 99% superhero movie with a passion)
3) Travel: now home bound but will travel next year
4) Podcasts - I spend too much time with my headphones on

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: World cinema (especially Asian cinema and European cinema)

I loathe 95% of the superhero movies with a passion.

Books: Dystopian, thriller/horror, not-so-cliche self-help books, Jane Austen

Music: Scandinavian indie, Wagner, Bjork, Ellie Goluding, world music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Finished the Wind Up Bird Chronicle by Haruki Murakami after several attempts when I was 16 (but now I don't remember much...).

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Cantonese. I can also take you to a few good local eateries. I'm happy to share with you the local culture and give you a crash course in HK history.

** In general, I'm open to meeting Couchsurfers without reference. But I hope new CSers would keep in mind that Couchsurfing is NOT just about having a place to crash for free or getting yourself a tour guide for free. And you can guess I've had some bad experience so I'm blabbering about this ... You can ask for help but please be considerate. That's all.

What I Can Share with Hosts

* Please note that I can't host anyone at my home. But I am happy to meet you over breakfast/lunch/dinner/coffee and have a chat. If you reach out to me and I am not available to meet, I am still happy to answer your questions.
