About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding people with good heart, interesting, and sense of humour. Respectful, and can listen very good. Reaching new goals. Thinking on future projects, ideas are welcomed.

ABOUT ME

I love to travel, that is one of my essential activities, specially in Europe, is fantastic to be european we have a cultural treasure! I studied Political Science at university in Barcelona. I currently work as a teacher in Barcelona, but worked in many many places before. I also work as a monitor with little kids and lifeguard in summer. I like a lot to listen to other people and learn about them, expresions, accents, languages... i'm a great observer! I love to have a nice time, talk about nonesense things, laugh about any stuff, and I can definitely say I am an opend-minded person ready to meet new people. So, i'm just a guy that wants to know more about the world we live in. I like freedom, to laugh, and i think that to respect each other is esencial for to live! Oh and for to end, i speak Spanish and Catalan as native languages, English easily and some German wich I am trying to improve right now.
I lived in Germany for almost 2 years, so I can say I understand german culture.

I want to point out something it really bothered me in the new actualization of CS--> CATALAN is exactly the same language as Valencian or Balearic or whatever dialect from it, this discussion is merely and simply political. It is very sad that from now on it appears on my profile that I allegedly speak also "valencian" which is no more than another dialect of the catalan language, this is even ratified in the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language and in the Catalan Institue of Language.
Couchsurfing is making a BIG mistake, now that is a profit organization who knows what made them do this change.

PHILOSOPHY

As you go on in life, you kick out the things you don't like, that's how you find the things you like. To me it happened that is difficult to know or to describe what I exactly like, but I have very clear things I don't like.
When you are on the top of a mountain and you must go down for whatever reason, try to do step by step (as we say in catalan, de mica en mica), don't panic. Things are not easy sometimes. Everybody is different, and I hate those people who tell other people what to do in life to "succeed", this is not true. Our psychology and our complexity makes us pretty different.
Lately I am trusting more my intution rather than my racional choices, it works better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Try to give a positive push to anybody who meets me, always with an open minded mood, ready to listen any story and discuss in a good vibe anything you think it's posible. I host whenever I can in Barcelona, so if you wanna sleep under my roof, you should read the Couch Information! ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i'm getting started, and had some really good experiences, all of them were amazing!!! - I wrote this in 2010

Now what I really think about Couchsufring (2016) --> It turned to be a privately owned for-profit corporation since 2011 (this means their aim is to make money as an other company). Looks also that it grew masively in the last years. I am very against this (CS being a profit organization), but still I will use the website for future adventures as it mean still a lot to me. Also I just realized they changed totally the design, and now it looks more like boring facebook. It is very sad what happened to CS, also it lost a bit the traveler spirit it had before to my point of view.
Also they reduced the freedom to put HTML code in the web, wich makes it totally strict to their rules. Some other more experienced CS put a lot of effort on it, and without telling them anything they just erased all the previous work.
And just to remind... this is to learn, open your mind, feel new emotions, knowing other life forms.

2020 --> Welcome to the futue. CS blackmails during covid-19 to make the last resistance of users to pay. The reality exceeds fiction, I get absorved finally by the "system". And yes, now is full of guys trying to flirt with girls. Lost battle.

Interests

I like to play guitar on my free times, also go out and hang around, read books about curious things and stories. I am constantly reading news, articles. Lately I realized that I like to know about almost EVERYTHING in the world.
Trying to be independent in all ways.
I like my little moto, it gives me a lot of freedom.
I don't like to specialize in things, pretty much all the stuff in the world fascinates me, and that's something good, but also bad because it distracts me from my supposed personal career.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking the transsiberian train

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some juggling, I like throwing things in the air. I am pretty good at imitating different types of spanish accents (the best one is the Cuban). The famous catalan "pà amb tomàquet".
Can tell you many things about the history of ancient Barcelona, Catalonia, and Spain.
My view on politics, and which global direction should we take in order to live better lifes.
I can say, I like talking about politics, is one of my favourites topics, and also a dangerous one to get inside as we can end up not knowing how to end up the discussion and finding ourselves very boring people, haha.
