About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I think saving the world is a strong possibility.

ABOUT ME

I hate these things because I don't want to gloss over the finer details. Suffice it to say that I'm an immense fan of traveling and experiencing different cultures. I consider myself shy, but I'm the life of the party! I'm still figuring out who I am and what I want from this life, but I'm positive that travelling will play a huge role. I'm an American by birth, but I feel like France is in my soul.

PHILOSOPHY

Everyone has a story to tell, and I like to be the one to listen. I'm huge on bettering myself as a person, learning from everything, and trying to contribute something useful to other people. I'm finding that the way I relate to other people has quite a bit to do with my outlook on life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm getting a real start on that now

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done 4 successful surfs: the first was in Milan. The gentlemen's name was Paolo. He hosted myself and two friends. We ate pizza, drank wine, and chatted about politics. Grazi! The other 3 were in Morocco - Marrakech, Fez, and Casablanca. I had the best time in Casablanca because our hosts took us to a soccer game and Casa beat Marrakech [their biggest rivals]. The celebration was amazing, I felt like a Morroccan.

Music, Movies, and Books

Herman Hesse's Siddartha is a personal favorite. Along with Whale Talk by Chris Crutcher.

Music is Arctic Monkeys, Gnarls Barkley, all things motown, Chromeo, Mark Ronson, and Junior Senior. Anything with a litte soul, anything with an 808 and now I love electronic. I seriously keep grooveshark on at *all* times. Loving MIA, Ace of Base, Mr. Hundson, Hot Hot Heat,Florence and the Machine, John Legend, Cee-Lo, Queen and so much more. Can we talk about music, pleaaseee I'm always open to new ear candy

Films - starter for ten, catch me if you can, things we lost in the fire, love and basketball, and any and all documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i was a counselor at a camp last summer. i had 17-year-old water polo players. every night, one or two of the boys and i would have heart-to-hearts and hearing them confess their worries and fears made me want to go back to HS. and not because hs was amazing but because i gained a new perspective.

Teach, Learn, Share

the qualities we dislike in others are often qualities we often dislike in ourselves. whenever i see something in someone else that annoys me, i ponder the question of why.

other than that i'm quite a dancer, and i'm always eager to learn or teach new moves.

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
