About Me

Hello I'm Sonja, nice to meet you :)
I just realised I haven`t used this for a while so an update could be useful.. The first time I used couchsurfing was on a backpacking journey in Australia after highschool.. After I have studied already 4 years in Berlin psychology, I decided to move to Leipzig in October for my master's degree.
In summer I always try to travel if I can find time and money.. As I miss mountains in northern Germany a lot, I mostly try to stay a long time in the alps, in southern Germany, where I grew up.
However, I just love food, adventure and different people and places, that's why this summer I will make a little bike tour from montpellier to marseille. To not only improve my french, but also taste good wine, eat delicious croissants and get sunburned.. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new interesting people. Perhaps, I need a place to stay for a night during my travel.
People are also welcome to stay with me, when I am back from my own travels.. :)

Interests

I love to meet my friends and go out to concerts, festivals or the bar next door.
I like to run and do fun things outside. I am an enthusiastic yoga practioner, like slack lining and swiming in the lake/sea/river.. I love mountain hiking and biycicling.. whatever happens outdoors, I like

  • concerts
  • festivals
  • running
  • traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music genres used to be reggae, ska and indie rock. At the moment I listen to a lot of french songs from Zaz, in my permanent play list are artists like Alice Phoebe Lou, Sophie Hunger..
I started reading gravel nophels, mostly about feminist topis but also political literature.
Or I read novels, the newspaper or psychology papers for uni.. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An amazing thing I've done so far was crossing the alps by bicycle, moving to berlin by myself, going travelling on my own, creating a shared flat, trying new things, starting to study, all sorts of jobs I worked so far..

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my love for sport activities, teach you surf skating, cook or bake for you or mix a lousy cocktail (sorry, I only worked as a waitress, not a barkeeper)

What I Can Share with Hosts

laughter, food and stories

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Austria, China, Croatia, Denmark, England, France, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Scotland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
