About Me

I love people :-) I'm always fascinated how others are managing their way through life. Especially if you end up somewhere unexpected.
I love to listen to those stories and ideas that come a long with it. Sharing my stories, and having a fun discussion about life, is something I'm always happy to be part of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said - I love people ;-)
And yes, it is cheaper to stay at someones place, but it is the company that makes it great to be in those places!

Interests

Getting to know people and different cultures - especially getting to know a culture though food ;-) with other people :-)

I love board or card games - also a great way to get to know other cultures. Tarantel Tango is a great game where you have to make animal noises - and let me tell you a german, a dutch and a french goat make different noises!

Music, Movies, and Books

Audiobooks are my passion! I love listening while traveling, cleaning, cooking, sewing... anything where you can't hold a book.
Geres I like:
scifi - "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy", "Enders" Series
fantasy - "The sword of truth"
crime - though more the cute versions like "Glenkill" by Leoni Swann, "Rote Grütze mit Schuss" by Krischan Koch or "Der König von Berlin" by Horst Evers

or a book about something that explains part of our wold - "Quantum Theory Cannot Hurt you" by Marcus Chown, "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson, "The Subtle Art of not Giving A Fuck" by Mark Manson.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many! Hard to pick one...

Language barriers can make a fun start for an unexpected trip;-) - Hiking with locals to a waterfall in Costa Rica.

Being lost in a small train station near Brussels, getting help from a conductor, who stopped a train for us, so that we could travel to Paris!

Teach, Learn, Share

How about:

- knitting, crochet, sewing?
- giving you the courage to try skydiving (or tell someone horror stories, if you don't want them jump;-) I still jump and looooove it!
- baking an awesome pie - A white chocolate greek-yogurt berry dream!
- or how to ride a unicycle ;-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge, enthusiasm, time and hopefully creating knew memories!

Countries I’ve Lived In
