About Me

CURRENT MISSION

World domination, here I come!

ABOUT ME

Quick facts:

32 Years old | Magister Artium of political sciences, modern and contemporary history and sociocultural anthropology | Globetrotter |
Walking encyclopedia in history - and annoying people with it | Decent cook | Avid reader | Movie fanatic | Left-Libertarianish political views

Well... I pretty much hate to describe myself so I put it this way: Meeting someone is the only way to get to know one another!

PHILOSOPHY

To me, changing the world can only happen by changing society, little by little, one person at a time. I try to share my views of how to build a better world with the people I meet to make this change from the roots up happen.

I try to watch what I buy as to support ecological and socialy involved companies

I actively engage in migration politics as to make life for immigrants in Germany better

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling should not be about mindlessly consuming the countries sights and scenes, but about getting to know the people of the land. Couchsurfing lets me get to know culture rather than just the tourist sites.

Vice versa, I want to show people more of my country and my town than a travel guide ever could.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read a lot in my life, from horrible, horrible fantasy to the "great classics". But I would not dare to choose a favorite one. It would be like asking someone to pick a favorite child.

Same goes for movies. Even though I admit to have a strong distaste of all movies that involve singing and dancing. Also, I don't like any german movie that involves Till Schweiger as a director. He's a horrible human being that sadly starred in some of the best movies of my childhood.

Music wise, I'm set up pretty broad. Everything from classical symphonies to brutal death metal, with a lot of electronic world music in between. I really like almost any music - well, maybe except charts music. If it's on the radio, it's most likely not my taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up to a mesa in the North Mexican canyons to stand in pitch black darkness while the light of dawn illuminated the canyons below me

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach the basics in guitar (classic) | I enjoy teaching new recipes and ways to cook

I can listen to travel stories for hours at an end
