Hi my name is Sönke (english friends pronounce it like Zoinke), nickname Sonka, and i grew up in a small village close to Hamburg, Germany. Lived a regular village life with playing soccer and so on. In August 2015 I moved to Canada for a year. After having a roadtrip up to the arctic circle and back from Vacouver I stayed in Vancity for 8 months and was living in a big international self managed community. The community changed the way i look at people and see the world.
I came back to Germany in August 2016 and now i´m working on a mechanical engineering deegree in Hameln, Germany. Big part of my life is the love for electronic dance music. It started when in 2012 when i went to Tomorrowland in Belgium and until now i´ve been to many Festivals in Europe and especially North America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The more I travel the more I realize that it´s not the places itself, it´s the people who make the place what it is.
