ABOUT ME
Where to begin... Born in California, raised in Singapore, and just moved back to Cali after living in Australia. Having spent a majority of my life overseas, I've racked up quite a bundle of frequent flyer miles - I basically grew up in the aisles of airplanes.
I went to college in Los Angeles where I majored in Film Production from the University of Southern California. I worked in Hollywood for a several years until my soul couldn't withstand the torture of working in reality TV a second longer.
In 2009 I took an overseas teaching assignment which brought me back to Singapore where I taught courses in filmmaking and journalism to high schoolers. I loved it, but wasn't ready to settle down just yet. So, in an effort to keep my adventurous experience alive, I moved again - this time Down Under. I lived in Sydney for a year and spent some of that time traveling the country, backpacking up and down the East Coast. Now I'm back in LA - for now - with hopes of keep the dream alive and moving to New York soon for my next adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted in the past (under flatmates account) and enjoyed the experience so decided to sign-up for myself. I've attended some of the CS events and rounded up a crew to explore the Great Ocean Road outside of Melbourne from my connections. I've had nothing but great experiences, and hope to show others a great time as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My Aussie flatmates and I hosted a several times, but I have yet to get out there and surf by myself. I had a great time meeting great people from around the world and exploring Sydney with them.

Music, Movies, and Books
Possibly the toughest question for a film guy... I love every Hitchcock movie under the sun, look up to Wes Anderson, and appreciate the artistic sensibility of Tarantino - so quite a range. My go-to rainy day movie is the Back to the Future trilogy - I can watch it over and over.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fishing at midnight in Norway while the sun was still shining,
Watching the sun rise from atop the pyramids in Giza,
Trekking the majestic Great Wall,
Climbing the ancient ruins of Tikal in Guatemala,
Partying on the strip in Vegas,
Exploring the back alleys of Vietnam,
Being re-born while camping in Joshua Tree,
Gorging myself on the amazing cuisine of Singapore,
Lounging on the beaches of Rio,
Getting lost, and found in Amsterdam,
Finding the meaning of life at Burning Man,
Skydiving over the Great Barrier Reef in Australia,
Swimming with wild dolphins in Belize,
Witnessing a hunt with a pack of lions in Tanzania,
Trekking the pristine landscape of southern New Zealand,
And many, many more to come.
