PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing more important in life than to follow the way to god. To be in touch with the cosmic energy and to flow with it, but it is not always easy and takes alot of stength, braveness and trust.

Tagore had found nice words for this:

Give me the supreme courage of love,
this is my prayer
The courage to speak,
to do,
to suffer at thy will,
to leave all things or be left alone.

Strengthen me on errands of danger,
honour me with pain,
and help me climb that difficult mood which sacrifices daily to thee.

Give me the supreme confidence of love,
this is my prayer
the confidence that belongs to life in death,
to victory in defeat,
to the power hidden in frailest beauty,
to that dignity in pain which accepts hurt but disdains to return it.

Let thy love play upon my voice and rest on my silence.
Let it pass through my heart into all movements.
Let thy love like stars shine in the darkness of my sleep and dawn in my awakening.
Let it burn in the flames of my desires
And flow in all currents of my own love.
Let me carry thy love in my life as harp does its music,
and give it back to thee at last with my life.

Trying to be a friend to the people which I meet

Friendship

Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and raep with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.

When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the “nay” in your own mind,
nor do you withhold the “aye”.
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that unacclaimed.

When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence,
as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.

And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love but a net cast forth: and only the unproftable is caught.

And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know ist flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.

And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures.
