About Me

*** ONLY LAST MINUTE REQUESTS PLEASE - my musician lifestyle makes it hard for any long-term planning... And please read the "About my home" session before writing, there's crucial information about my place there :) ***

I'm a Brazilian guitarist/singer who's been living and busking in Europe for around 7 years now - 3 in Spain, 4 in Germany. I came here after dreaming all my life about being free to go wherever and do whatever I wanted, which always was travelling and making music.

I always loved an adventure, that's why I came alone with just my guitar and some clothes. Nothing makes me happier than putting a smile in people's faces with my music, as well as meet new friends, and learn new traditions and languages.

It's been a long road from there, but as long as I have my instrument and my ideas with me, it will always be ok. I've been having Life as my teacher and mentor for the last years, where I learned to be more thankful, compassionate, positive and joyful, as well as much more spiritual.

I'm really passionate about arts in general, in special music and writing, as well as language-linguistics, and all sorts of craftwork. Also I'm a really peaceful person, never lose my temper, always see the bright side in everything - I really believe EVERYTHING has a positive side.

I also enjoy beer and wine, and sometimes partying really hard... And trying different foods and drinks, of course :)

Btw I don't like writing about myself, and I probably suck at it... But I hope that's an ok introduction! Cheers and peace!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been doing Couchsurfing for some time now, and really like it - both for hosting and being hosted. Met lots of nice people, and made good friends through here. You learn so much from people who come from other places, that it almost feels like travelling there yourself! And of course, to travel to new places and meet and make music with/for local people is a plus!

Interests

I like about every kind of music, and even more to play and jam with other musicians. I'm also really into crafting/fixing stuff in general, I believe everything that's broken can be fixed - though some things are just not meant to be fixed!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Mainly rock-ish-bluesy-funky-groovy.. I also like all kinds of psychedelic music, in fact, I like music in general, no matter which kind. I usually listen to bands like David Bowie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beatles, Groundation, Ponto de Equilíbrio, O Rappa, Charlie Brown Jr., Héroes del Silencio, Seu Jorge, La Vela Puerca, Duvioza Kolektiv, Twelve Foot Ninja, Aerosmith, Megadeth, Metallica, Pantera, Iggy Pop, Paco de Lucía, Santana, Frank Zappa, Judas Priest, Die Antwoord, and probably if I keep writing I'll run out of space... Plus I'm always open for knowing new music.

Books: Eckhart Tolle and Carlos Castañeda helped me gaining a very nice perspective to my life... Another one that really had impact and influenced me was "The Music Lesson", from Victor Wooten.

Movies: Too many to think of... I think it's easier to say what I dislike, which are basically horror movies (freaks me out). I like realism and true stories, even though sometimes they end up exaggerating too much, like City of God.. And epics like LotR / GoT / Star Wars / Marvel movies, and other nerdy stuff... I didn't like much the last Star Wars movie (Episode VIII) though.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming a Busker. Best job I've ever had :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Live your life for yourself... Have a job that you like, and like the job that you have. Everything is happening at once, which is Now, and tomorrow's a hoax. I believe in living life moment by moment, step by step, non-stop. In other words, just be happy now, and you'll always be happy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Music, beers, food, laughs, stories, some craftsmanship skills, definitely a good time.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland
