ABOUT ME
I've been spending a lot more time standing on my head lately. I think it's starting to make a difference.
I'm learning to read tarot cards. Ask me and I'll do a reading for you.
PHILOSOPHY
Everybody's irrational if you ask the right questions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I started out doing the surfing side of things, and upon returning home have had many great experiences hosting people and showing them my city. I've attended a few CS events, and would like to attend the weekly get-togethers around here, but so far my schedule has not allowed it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: The Fountain, Holy Mountain, Cremaster3, documentaries, and anything funny.
Music: Union of Knives, Justice, Thom Yorke, and of course Zen Debris, whose name I have to spread around because they're my friends and people need to hear their music.
Books: **The Black Swan**, The Ask, The Diamond Age, Extended Phenotype, The Book of Thoth, The Book of 5 Rings, The Metabarons
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was on a ferry boat whose bottom 3 floors contained about 100 cars, 2 dozen shipping trucks, and a train. The top 3 floors contained a roof deck and a shopping mall, complete with 3 restaurants, several specialty stores, and a children's playground.
I didn't realize such things existed, so it was amazing to me. I guess it's probably pretty boring if you're used to it.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you buy a Eurail Pass, do not use the included map as a method to plan your route. It is marked incorrectly, and you might end up in countries which do not accept your pass.
Also, carry safety pins when you travel, because they're really handy when the zipper on your bag breaks, or the shoulder straps come off.
If you like to sew, you can make a durable, waterproof fabric by fusing plastic grocery bags together using an iron. This is great for making carrying cases for electronics or paper journals, and it can be good for repairing holes in your luggage, too. Plus, it's good to recycle!
