By education I am a biologist, with a major in zoology. I love nature and animals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is beautiful, it provides an invaluable opportunity to see a lot of unusual places, get to know different cultures and customs, learn the language, find new friends...
And Couchsurfing is a great helper in this! :)

Interests

I like drawing. I'm new at this; I have never learned to draw, but I like to express my emotions through a sheet of white paper. I know that I can create something new, and it brings joy.
Sometimes I write poetry.
I love educational games and puzzles; I like to collect puzzles and solve riddles. I especially like the game "situation puzzle", where you have a pair of facts to bring the whole story.
Recently, I have realized that I really like to learn languages. I now learn Spanish, but I have a purpose to learn at least 10 languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of different music. I like both heavy and light music: rock, metal, reggae and folk, English and Latin-American music, classical music (especially violin) and jazz, etc.
As for movies, I like to watch horror, fantasy, drama, and cartoons. Sometimes I watch art house (I especially respect David Lynch). My favorite movie is "Interstate 60: Episodes of The Road". My favorite TV series is "Twin Peaks".
I like to read fiction, especially fantasy (much). I like the books by Kerouac. I also love poetry, especially Russian poets Balmont and Gumilev. Also, I read books by Osho and Castaneda. Besides, I like to read popular science literature, which explains complicated things in simple language – for example, books by Carl Sagan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

6 months I traveled by hitchhiking in South-East Asia. I saw life from the inside. I visited the volcano, waterfalls, mountains, sea and a lot another different things. I crossed the equator. This journey gave much more, than university and work. It opened my eyes to a multifaceted and amazing world. It was very exciting. But the best is ahead...

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Russian language, maybe something else.
Learn: different languages (English, Spanish ... and in general any language), playing the flute, yoga, meditation and different types of dances. In general, I want to learn everything!
Share: good humor and stories of life.
