Overview
About Me
Hello,
I am a freelance theatre director and performer working predominantly in the outdoor arts sector across the UK and Europe. I love working with a wide network of talented funny clever artists, musicians and performers.
I also produce Todmorden Folk Festival, a local grassroots festival celebrating folk arts in the broadest sense. The festival is in it's 4th year and has welcomed award winning line-ups.
I'm also a mother of two and my partner, Will, is a musician. We have settled in the North of England where we met and have a lovely community of friends around us. We are very privileged to have a spare room and I'd like to make that available to visitors who might need a bed for the night. It's important to teach our children to be kind, helpful and welcoming to strangers.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going on a research/writing/interviewing trip for a theatre show with my old friend Paul. We are trying to get from West Yorkshire to Oban on a shoe string. I want to experience what it's like to walk out of your life, with only a small bag of belongings and see how far we can get. We intend to hitchhike and couch surf and sing for our supper.
