ABOUT ME

My friends describe me as outgoing, warm and caring. I am a people person and a family person, and I am also learning to enjoy my solitude as well! I am fascinated by learning about cultures, people's personal journeys and the stories of their lives. I have a keen interest in matters of spirituality, and love to explore practices of yoga, meditation, qigong - always open to new learning.

I guess I already described a little of that above, in mentioning my interests in spirituality and various energy practices. I love exploring ideas that have to do with personal and global evolution - what makes people who they are, and what helps us all evolve to be more loving and human. I love travel, the sensory experiences of a new culture, and the beauty of nature...being in the great outdoors, especially on the water. I love a good book and good theatre. And music of many types - live, or just siting back to a good cd!

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the most memorable experiences of my life was spending a month trekking in the Himalayas, crossing a high mountain pass and staying in little villages in the mountains and on the Tibetan plateau. The magic and beauty of the landscape took my breath away, and I loved the simplicity of waking with the roosters, washing my clothing in cold mountain streams, and just experincing life in this vast, natural environment.
When I lived in the Pacific, in Saipan, I was always entranced by swimming in the ocean and experiencing the magical feeling of being surrounded by schools of tropical fish of all sizes and colors. Swimming in the ocean above a school of manta rays was particularly memorable.
I love to sing, and had the bounty of singing in a triple choir of Hindi, Persian and English voices at the opening ceremonies of the beautiful lotus- shaped Baha'i house of worship in Delhi, India.
