Hi, I am Ashley and I'm planning a road trip with my 4-month puppy, Ollie, for the first time! It will be quite a challenge, but I am excited about adventures with her.

I haven't traveled that much for two years due to my work and the pandemic. As I am starting a new phase of my life, I will go on a trip this summer as much as I can.

So far, I've traveled to more than 25 countries by myself. I've met so many good people through CS, so I am returning to CS even though this platform becomes a paid service.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

In 2009, while traveling in Turkey, I learned about this website from a nice CS host whom I met on the street. While I was staying at the Turkish CS host's house for 3 days, I could learn about the local cultures, food, people, and cities which I would never know if I were traveling alone.

Then, during my another trip to Bangkok in 2010, I also met another CS member on the street and we had a great conversation. So, based on these "accidental" meetings with wonderful CS members, I could have good impressions of CS.

In 2011, while I was studying in Amsterdam, I used CS for meeting local people and it was so nice to meet and talk with them.

In 2016, three Couchsurfing members and I went on a road trip for 4 days and traveled from Los Angeles to Arizona (Grand Canyon) and Las Vegas.

In 2018, I went hiking & camping in Quebec, Canada with a wonderful French girl that I met through Couchsurfing.

So, every people whom I met from CS gave me great memory, and that's why I am using this website!

Traveled India for 4 months; Went to Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal; Stayed in Sadhana Forest, an eco-friendly community for a month ( being a vegan, planting trees every morning, doing yoga, meditation, building a small wooden library)

O Que Posso Compartilhar com Anfitriões

I may share some psychological knowledge and findings from other CS people if they're interested in people's mind. Also, I could share some of my travel experiences as well. I am not a good cook, but at least I know some recipes :). I like outdoor activities and workout, so I could go hiking, running, or walking if they want me to join. And, I am a heavy caffeine addict, and I always crave for good coffees. So we can just chat at the cafe.
