About Me
I was funny. I mean, I still am, but I was too.
I had a life-changing (okay, it was only a month long) solo surfing in Europe where I spent my time making lots of friends with strangers, and learning to see the beauty in interpersonal relationships rather than monuments and theme parks.
Previously spending (slightly) extended periods of time elsewhere showed me the beauty of experiencing things on your own, or with locals, and I want to not only see sights, but feel what a city is really like.
Meet me and I'll, er, make your dreams come true? Probably not, but I think we'd have a good time anyway.
Help me get to know you and your city better!!
In any case, what could go wrong with a medical person in your home? ;)
By the way, I LOVE COASTERS. I think budget travellers should be collecting them everywhere we go! :P
have no regrets. every little thing is a learning journey. whether it be a shameful mistake or a glorious success, there's always something to be learnt.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because like everybody else here I'm open-minded, fun-loving blah blah...
Reaped the benefits of surfing, now trying to start hosting when I can!!
Come share a meal or a beer (or three) with me and we can exchange ideas in an enjoyable way :)
I won't judge you for not having references/friends. We all start somewhere :)
Already had many positive experiences! Just read the reference board and maybe you'll get a glimpse of this amazing story I've begun...
I hope you can build yours too, hopefully with me! And you'll help me build mine :)
Interests
i want to see the world! one couch at a time.
BEER
lager pils pale ales stouts amber ales lambic weissbier steam ales dunkels you name it!
except imperial stouts. sorry.
I'm not the type to go somewhere to grab a photo of something, especially if it's meaningless. I think the beauty of couchsurfing is being able to know different people, and learning about them or their points of view. I'm a good listener I reckon...what were you saying again?
Languages too, I like knowing a little bit about the language of each place.
- beauty
- dining
- beer
- surfing
- languages
- budget travel
- parks
Music, Movies, and Books
I like comedies, obviously. Always good to have a brainless one every once in a while.
and for want of a better word, I really enjoy mindf*** movies. or at least movies where, at the end, we go "Ohhhhhh".
Books. Well thanks for reminding me of all the textbooks I bought/bootlegged but never got down to reading >
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
childbirth. well, not done it, obviously. but it's a sight one will never forget.
not to mention the smell.
better than sights and sounds of places I've visited, were the experiences. did some silly things in Gent, Leuven, Utrecht, you name it.
got pushed out of a plane in Sao Paulo! damn.
Learning to trust and see the beauty in people, made me love CS, and i hope to participate in it again.
also, shoes make me happy. I'm superficial. whatever.
sorry, was that one thing?
Teach, Learn, Share
Everybody has their story. Tell me yours!
I can teach... err... I'd love to say medical stuff but that's boring and people ask for free consults :P Perhaps I can share with you the better and not-that-great qualities of Singapore and Singaporeans!
And I'll share my home with you, when it's possible :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll share my food with you! Also, ask me anything about Singapore. Whoever you are.
And if you're keen to learn more about my language, I'm happy to share!
