About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To create community wherever I go

ABOUT ME

I've mostly surfed through a joint profile with my two best friends, Abby and Phoebe. If you want to know more about me, be sure to check out http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/sophie.abby.phoebe/

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an eternal optimist and believe strongly in the power of people working together. There is so much injustice in the world, but I believe that if we organize, we can make real change.

I am inspired by the campesino a campesino movement, the Coalition of Immokalee Workers, 350.org and all others fighting for food sovereignty, climate justice, and people over profit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couchsurfed all over Europe and have enjoyed every minute. Now I'm living in Hudson, NY and am so excited to have a chance to be the host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I thank Couchsurfing for almost all of the friends I have made abroad. When I moved to Briancon to teach and live, I contacted Couchsurfers not to stay with, but to grab drinks, go on hikes, and ultimately become my best friends. Couchsurfers are the most open, genuine group of people I know. No matter where I live and travel, I plan to always call on this community to make friends and connections in a new place.
