Hi! I am Sophie. I am a friendly, outgoing Kiwi girl presently living in Barcelona, Spain. I work in renewable energy (solar) and my passions are travel, languages, photography, cooking and sustainability.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had friends who have recommended CS and due to a trip to Munich coming up I thought I would try it again. I love travel and meeting new people ever since I was an exchange student to Costa Rica with AFS in 2000. I am happy to meet and be a guide for CS members wherever I find myself in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Foreign movies are my faves, love non-fiction books of all types, and my music taste is varied but tend to favour black music for the soul and great beat: Soul, funk, drum n' bass, jungle, dubstep, reggae, afrobeat, hip-hop.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent my last year of high school on exchange to Costa Rica and fell in love with the place. I have been so fortunate so far in my life for all the wonderful experiences I have had, and am hungry for more.
