About Me

Environmentalist, lover of delicious food, outgoing company and stimulating conversation. Hobbies also include backpacking, rock climbing, brewing kombucha, baking and reading. When I am in a new city, I try to spend as much of my time outside as possible - taking public transportation or walking everywhere, eating my lunch outside, going backpacking or biking on the outskirts of town. I also love exploring new music, and am always looking for concerts to go to! I have been vegan for the past three years for environmental reasons, but do not at all mind how those around me choose to eat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a close friend who is currently working with Delta Airlines who has generously gifted me her buddy pass until August of this year. This means that I am able to fly standby on any Delta flight, for a minimal landing and service fee! I am trying to take advantage of this incredible opportunity as best I can, in order to meet as many new people and see as many new places as possible! As an undergraduate student, I am somewhat limited in by the cost of accommodation in cities I am traveling to, especially since traveling standby does not allow me to plan too far in advance. I think couchsurfing is the perfect solution for me, as I will get to meet new people and learn about their lives in the cities I am visiting, and save money to be able to visit as many places as possible!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once sailed a 6 hour open ocean crossing from St. Vincent to St. Lucia in the Grenadines. Our family of four crewed the boat ourselves, with no guide or captain!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love sharing my passion for a zero waste lifestyle! I can show hosts how to reduce waste when grocery shopping, eating on the go, and cooking! I also very much enjoy sharing my love of plant based foods and nutrition. I am also belay certified, and can help others become certified for top-rope rock climbing!
