Hello! I’m Sophia and I am a 21 year old Dutch student. I study Fine Art at the HKU (University of the Arts in Utrecht). So I make art all day and I truly love it. I live in the city with two of my best friends and I have my room full of plants. The main things I do in my life are painting&drawing, hanging with my friends, going to open mics, cooking, having fun with my boyfriend, and traveling.

I’ve heard a lot about couchsurfing and I think it’s perfect for me because I love traveling and doing new things. I really like the fact that there is such a big community and it feels nice being a part of it. I’m excited for what’s to come! (wrote this at the beginning of 2019, but it’s still kinda true)

I always listen to music. My favorite genre is indie-pop and some artists and bands I really like are Billie Eilish, LANY, Grace VanderWaal and Muna. I love watching movies, espacially with one of my housemates because she knows a lot about them. I’m into horror, art house, old movies and more.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

My boyfriend was the one who introduced me to the culture of hitchhiking and couchsurfing. This way of traveling is amazing and I already met a lot of lovely people because of it. Traveling makes me feel free and alive. Summer ‘19 we went to Basque Country (Spain) and it was an amazing traveling experience because of the cities, nature and people.

Something I can talk about all day is my interests in art. And more specifically the making of art. I would love to learn more languages, especially Spanish and French. I would also like to learn how to take better photos when I travel.
