Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Sophia, a Londoner, a language sponge growing my word web. I play with words and sounds. I usually want to be dancing.
A couple of years ago I was travelling Europe instead of renting, but now I’m enjoying the stability of being settled back in London. In 2025 I hope to travel via various swing dance and balfolk festivals.
Send me a message if that’s something you’re also into!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm picky! I don't really do favourites.
I fill my ears with new music every day. My tastes are broad but specific. Big Björk fan. Folk folk folk.
With film I'm into lots that's odd, subtitled, old.
Always reading at least a dozen things at once, but at a snail's pace. I’m trying to read as much as I used to. Current read: Transit by Rachel Cusk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived on a canal boat with my partner for 3 years and are still together
Teach, Learn, Share
If you want to learn an instrument, some dance, or improve your English, hit me up. I truly love to learn, so let’s exchange what we can, especially if it’s something creative or linguistic.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'll share everything a friend would share: time, energy, food, drink, humour. And of course something, usually edible or alcoholic, from wherever I'm travelling!
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden
Countries I’ve Lived In
