Hi there, I'm a french girl who lived in Marseille for 15 years, left it one year for Berlin and is now living in the region of Rome.

I'm a Mediterranean, so as most of my people I love the sun, the sea, the fruits and the vegetables (but I'm having more troubles with the sexist part of this culture...).
I'm a vegetarian since 4 years but my love for cheese and my mistrust for too strict rules is keeping from going vegan. I'm however trying to limit my consumption of animal products. Eventually my goal is to stop feeding the agri-food and mass production industry !

I love eating and cooking, I basically spend most of my money in food and cafés. I studied history and history of arts, I'm very passionate about this stuff even though I'm not a big hard worker, I must admit that. According to Pottermore I'm a Ravenclaw and I really like the description of this house : craziness, passion, curiosity, imagination etc.
So I'd be very happy to go in museums, exhibitions, happening or whatever !

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's very cliché...but to travel everywhere including unexpected places, meet new people, see beautiful things, have weird experiences. Life, quoi !
Also to rediscover the place where I'm living, such as Marseille that I love to show to new coming =)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love it when I'm listening to something and think "Waw, this I never heard it before!". Paradoxically I was not listening to much contemporary stuff but I'm trying to improve this since some months.
I'm very fond of "chanson française", my favourite singer above all is Georges Brassens, I also really like Serge Gainsbourg, Jacques Brel, Barbara, Moustaki etc. As I grew up reading books more than listening to music I'm more likely to be touch my the texts than by the music. That's why I really like rap music, especially NTM, IAM, Keny Arkana and Assassin.
I love old rock bands as The Clash ( which is my favorite), The Doors, Patti Smith, Hendrix but also Joy Division etc. and folk music as Dylan or Simon & Garfunkel (♥♥). So you see it's very classical...I love tarentella music and dance !

Concerning books I love to read comics and youth literature in the summer because all year long I must read academic books about history, sociology and arts. Even though I'm very passionate with my studies I like to relax with "lighter" things during holidays ! My favourite writter is Maupassant, I love his manner of writting and as I am a bit obsessed by the XIXth Century I can find his misogyny interesting, if I can put it that way ! I also love Camus, especially Noces and La Mort Heureuse. East of Eden is one of my favorite book with Mémoires d'une Jeune Fille Rangée of Simone de Beauvoir.
I love poetry and my favorite poet (after Brassens !) is Jacques Prévert. I'm also in love with Boris Vian since for ever (which means my 15th year on earth haha). Concerning youth literature I will name Malika Ferdjoukh and Roald Dahl as my favourite writers, and Siobhan Dowd for Bog Child. And last but not least, Queen J.K.R ! I'll be buried with Harry Potter, I swear.

Cinema now ! As I said earlier, I love Jacques Prévert then I really like the movies he wrote, with Marcel Carné as a director and of course Le Roi et l'Oiseau !! I love Kubrick, Tarantino (très original !) et Sofia Coppola. I love the Godfather's series but those are the only movies of her father that I've seen so I won't put him on the list!
My favourite french director is Truffaut but my favourite french movie is Pierrot le Fou of Godard even though La Haine is very close !
I love teen movies and musical, even when they are not that good ! My favourite teen movie are The Breakfast Club and Mean Girls when my fav' musical is Peau d'Âne and I actually love everything about Jacques Demy.

I don't really like the fact of cataloguing things that I love because it feels so superficial and I'm always thinking about something new. So I will just say that I love reading and watching movies, I'm also a big fan of tv shows (my favourite are Dr Who, Daria, My Mad Fat Diary, Orange is the new black and Twin Peaks ). I'm very curious and quickly passionate by stuff !
