We are Sophia and Marie, two students from Germany. We are currently in the midst of an exciting chapter in our lives as we are doing an exchange semester in Toronto. I am studying a unique blend of design and computer science, while Marie is studying communication. Our paths crossed at just the right time, leading us to this incredible opportunity to explore the USA.

I love to travel, have already lived in Germany, Sweden, Austria and can't wait to explore more. I love to dance, being creative and spend time with my friends. I also love to dance, eat vegan and having a healthy lifestyle.
Marie also likes to travel and have already lived in Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Canada.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My best friends from Germany visited me in Toronto and before that they made a trip to Vancouver, where they couch-surfed. They told me great stories and gave me the idea to register here. I love the opportunity to meet people who live in Vancouver. As an exchange student, we mainly have contact with other exchange students, so we look forward to meeting people who have been living in Canada for a while.

We can't wait to meet our future hosts and fellow travelers. Vancouver, here we come!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my semester abroad in Sweden, we spent Christmas in Lapland. We rented a cabin next to the frozen lake, saw the Northern Lights and visited the ice hotel, we also went on a husky sled tour and went ice climbing. The best Christmas I've ever had.
